Profile - top games, best music, fave food & stuffName: Daniel WhiteEmail: Click here DOB: 22/1/1978 Alive: yes Location: Bedford, England, Planet 3/9 of Solar system no. 3,424,778,290, Galaxy 57,239,114 of starcluster 633,884 of mega-star cluster 267,884,333. And approximately 58,440,023,494,637 light years from Skytopia. Sleep: not at time of writing, but probably as you're reading this. Occupation: Part time piano teacher, after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a BA in music with computing. Also work in web development/publishing. Interests: Anything on Skytopia; music, games, science (experiments & light trivia), maths, programming (including programming fun particle systems & sound effects), creating optical illusions, 3D (ray-traced and stereoscopic stuff), 3D fractals (updated 19/11/2009!), music creation/composition/production, rating music/graphics (+ SNES and C64 ratings), Amiga, lucid dreaming, web surfing, chess, table tennis, 5-a-side football, biking, theme parks, piano (grade 8), fractals, skiing/surfing, High scores/time records in video games (world top record at 'Sonic the hedgehog's Time attack) and of course video games and computers in general..... Beliefs: I never cease to be amazed that 'I' exist, or indeed that anything exists at all. There are still the big questions of course. Here goes... 80% probability that 'God' exists in some way, shape or form. 99.8% probability that we have a transcendental 'soul' (of which 80% chance that our core consciousness is irreducible and completely independent from other souls, and 10-20% chance that everyone is part of 'one' soul). 95% probability that we live on in an afterlife (of which 30% we 'reincarnate' on Earth, and 70%, erm... 'other'), but if true, only 80% certain that our ideals and/or tastes are kept (or intrinsic to our soul), and only 60% sure that our earthly memories and/or 'personality' will be preserved somehow (much less of course if earthly reincarnation is true). All with considerable margins of error of course, and subject to change. Most of all, I really hope that there's an afterlife, and that it's a nice place for everyone. Wishful thinking? Maybe. Pets: Yes: Dog; one of - "Fido". 19/11/2009 update: Fido went to a better place, we now have Ben the second. Fave food: Well, Fido will eat almost anything... Really pointless trivia stuff(My) fave food: Anything Quorn (mince, burgers, chicken fillets), some curries and Chinese food, Pavlova type gateaux, Donuts, Kiwifruit, (fresh) Strawberries, lots of potato-ey stuff, McDonalds chips/burger (occasionally), salted pistachio/cashew nuts, (red) Crunchy nut cornflakes, Waitrose Triple choc crunch, cup noodle (/not/ pot noodle), (Iceland's) corn of the cob (must be microwaved!).Ice Cream: Ben and Jerry's ('Choc Chip Cookie Dough', 'The Full Vermonty'), Haagen-Dazs ('Pralines and Cream', 'Cookies and Cream'), Carte D'or ('Creme Caramel'), & Ice cream bars: 'Dream', 'Sky', 'Coconut Feast', (all 3 discontinued) & 'Smarties' Ice-cream bar . Taste in music: Although there's comparatively very little I do enjoy, I know that music could get /so/ much better than anything currently out there. I actually have a rating system from 0 to 15 with each successive number a 'double' in quality. So far, I've heard nothing above ~10, but know that such music could theoretically exist - and that it would be /amazing/ to listen to. I do enjoy almost any 'style' of music - but only the cream of each (about 0.000026 percent ;). If I had to say in particular, I would go for: ...some 80s synth pop/classical Electric Light Orchestra: 'Twilight', 'Secret messages', 'Mr Blue Sky', 'I'm alive', 'All over the world'. BeeGees: 'More than a woman', 'How deep is your love', 'Night fever', 'Stayin' alive', 'Love you inside out', 'Tragedy'.
